‘The Etruscan Gold Book’ (also known as the Zagreb Mummy Wrappings), dating back to the 6th century BCE, is made of a series of gold plates with Etruscan writing and illustrations. The origins of this artifact can be traced back to approximately 600 BCE. The fascinating tome, crafted from 24 karat gold, consists of six sheets adorned with various captivating subjects, including a horseman, a mermaid, a harp, and soldiers. The remarkable discovery took place during canal construction near the Strouma River in Bulgaria, sometime in the late 1950s, when the book was found in a tomb.
