RE Himalayan 450-rivalling Chinese CFMoto 450 MT to go into production in Q1 ’24: Will it arrive in India?WORLD NEWS

Chinese manufacturer CFMoto recently unveiled its latest mid-capacity ADV motorcycle, the 450 MT, last month. The production for this model is reportedly slated to begin from the first quarter of January 2024 and we can expect to see the motorcycle on global roads sometime later in the year. The 450 MT is essentially a rival to Royal Enfield’s Himalayan 450 which was recently launched in India.
The motorcycle is built on a tubular frame, and shares the 450cc parallel-twin engine platform with its siblings, the 450 NK and 450 SR. The motorcycle features elevated half fairing, a tall mudguard, a wide handlebar, vertically stacked twin headlights, a single-piece seat and an upright riding posture.

Powering the CFMoto 450 MT is a 450cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that belts out 43.5 hp and 44 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox, lacking a quickshifter, which is a common offering for motorcycles in this segment. For suspension duties, it gets KYB USD forks at the front and a monoshock unit at the rear. Additional features include a TFT dash with smartphone connectivity, 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels, LED lighting, disc brakes on both wheels with switchable ABS, and more.
With the launch of the motorcycle expected sometime in mid-2024, this RE Himalayan 450, KTM 390 Adventure rival is unlikely to arrive on our shores anytime soon.
