The year 2023 belongs to Shah Rukh Khan, he’s the only actor to deliver two Rs 1000 crore hits in the same year with Jawan and Pathaan. Something similar was expected from his third release Dunki as well but the response to the film has been very muted as compared to his two earlier films. The film is India has collected about Rs 140 in 6 days as per Sacnilk, while Salaar which was released a day later is dominating the screens having collected about Rs 278 crore in just 5 days.

But the game seems to be changing in far off land, which is usually considered to be Shah Rukh Khan’s territory and that is the United States of America. Before the release of both the film, Salaar was leading the charge, where it has sold thousands of tickets in advance, while Dunki was struggling to see a respectable sale. But post the release, the scenario seems to be changing, Salaar though still leads in terms of box office revenue but Dunki is giving it a run for its money.
Salaar had a major head start in the race as in its premiere and day 1 it had collected about US $3.8 million but since then its everyday collecting has only been dropping. Its current numbers stand close to US $ 6.8 million. While Dunki opened to about US $ 858648 has been growing with each passing day seeing a small dip on day 4 and day 6. Before Boxing Day, the film had reached US $ 4.5 million mark and on Boxing Day the film added another US $ 650081, taking the film firmly beyond the US $ 5 million mark and there is a chance the number will go up before the end of the day.
Besides SRK, the film also stars Vicky Kaushal, Taapsee Pannu and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
