Search for terrorists continue in Poonch-Rajouri forestsworld news

JAMMU: Dogs and drones assisted security forces as they continued to comb the forested hills of J&K’s Poonch-Rajouri sector for the sixth day on Tuesday to trace the terrorists involved in the December 21 ambush on two military vehicles in Dera Ki Gali, which claimed the lives of four soldiers.
Officials reported the deployment of highly trained military sniffer dogs, aerial surveillance with drones and helicopters, and additional troops to secure escape routes in the dense forests spanning from Dera Ki Gali in Poonch to Thannamandi in neighbouring Rajouri.

Mobile internet services remained suspended in both districts due to concerns that terrorists may use Google mapping and other digital tools to navigate through the mountainous terrain containing deep gorges and caves en route to the LoC.
