NEW DELHI: The security was breached at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Saturday, a day after Republic Day celebrations, after an intruder entered the taxiway. An inquiry has been initiated. According to officials, after the intruder was spotted at the taxiway on Saturday night, he was apprehended and later handed over to Delhi Police.
Police said they arrested the accused who was a drug addict. “He entered the taxiway through an under-construction wall,” officer added.
