Big electric car sale order for Citroen e-C3 EV: 4,000 cars to be purchased by BluSmartWORLD NEWS



French carmaker Citroen has joined forces with BluSmart Mobility, an electric mobility service provider, in a partnership aimed at boosting the country’s electric vehicle (EV) landscape. As part of this collaboration, the latter will purchase 4,000 units of e-C3 over the next year, to expand its fleet in India.
The first leg of this deployment witnessed the flag-off of 125 e-C3 units from BluSmart’s EV charging superhub in Bengaluru. The e-C3, which is essentially an electric counterpart of the ICE C3, is an all-electric compact SUV, boasting a range of 320 km and fast charging technology, capable of achieving a full charge in under an hour.

This EV is equipped with a 29.2 kWh battery pack, driving the front axle-mounted electric motor generating 57 hp and 143 Nm of peak torque. Additionally, drivers can choose between two driving modes – Eco and Standard – and benefit from regenerative braking features. At present, this model is priced from Rs 12.47 lakh, ex-showroom, and comes with a 7 year/1.40 lakh km battery warranty.
BluSmart has been a major player in India’s electric mobility revolution, operating 7,000 BluSmart EVs and covering over 410 million clean kms since inception. With 4,400 EV chargers across 36 charging superhubs, BluSmart is poised to address the burgeoning demand for ride-hailing services in Indian megacities.
