Alia Bhatt supports Deepika Padukone against online bullying during pregnancy |WORLD NEWS

In the wake of ongoing social media negativity towards Deepika Padukone‘s pregnancy, actress Alia Bhatt has emerged as a staunch supporter of the mom-to-be. Deepika, who is expecting her first child with actor-husband Ranveer Singh, faced criticism and body-shaming after recent public appearances.
The backlash intensified when Deepika, on May 20, stepped out to cast her vote in Mumbai’s Lok Sabha Election 2024.Instead of applauding her civic duty, some netizens resorted to derogatory remarks about her body, even questioning the authenticity of her baby bump. Amid this cyberbullying, journalist Faye D’Souza took to Instagram to express solidarity with Deepika.

Addressing the social media trolls, she emphasized that Deepika’s outing was not an invitation for unwarranted commentary on her pregnancy or physique. She demanded an end to such behavior, asserting, “Stop it. Behave.” Alia Bhatt, her sisters Pooja Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, and her mother Soni Razdan showed support by liking the respective post.

Alia’s empathetic gesture towards Deepika has earned praise from fans, who commend her for standing by her fellow actress during a challenging time. Many fans highlighted Alia’s own experiences with online hate, suggesting that she could relate to Deepika’s situation on a personal level. They underscored the importance of support and privacy during pregnancy, condemning intrusion into Deepika’s personal life.
One of the comments read – “After the hate Alia got, I can see her empathising with DP (everyone sympathises but Alia went through the speculations too, so can personally relate).” Further, another fan wrote, “Yes, this is the time they need to be supportive! It’s just too personal to stoop at this level and interfere. Opinions by strangers on herself is the last thing she needs right now. Hope the baby and mama and dad are all okay and living every moment.”
As the digital discourse continues, Alia Bhatt’s unwavering support for Deepika Padukone serves as a reminder of solidarity within the entertainment industry and the need to combat cyberbullying with empathy and compassion.
The post garnered further endorsement from industry colleagues. Actress Shruti Seth commended Deepika’s resilience, noting her determination to rise above the negativity. Aahana Kumra echoed the sentiment, applauding the stance. TV star Tina Datta said, “People have lost it.”
