Activists arrested after ‘dirty protest’ at UK PM Rishi Sunak’s homeWORLD NEWS

LONDON: Four men have been arrested after trespassing in the grounds of UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s Yorkshire country mansion when one of them defecated in his lake.
Protest group Youth Demand claimed responsibility for the incident, uploading footage to X. The group wrote: “As Sunak faces electoral wipe-out, we offer up a parting gift. We have given the Tories exactly what they have given us.A ****show. The political system in this country is in the toilet.”
The statement then goes on a rant about the “collapsing NHS”, “crumbling schools”, food banks, new oil and gas projects, and UK arms sales to Israel.
The video shows plant science student Oliver Clegg (21), a Just Stop Oil activist from Manchester, climbing into a lake and appearing to defecate in the water while wearing an “Eat s*** Rishi” shirt.

It was another blow for the PM, whose party is engulfed in a betting scandal and whose election campaign has been star-crossed from the outset.
Sunak’s constituency home in the village of Kirby Sigston, North Yorkshire, is a Grade II-listed manor house, worth over £2 million (Rs 21 crore), with extensive gardens, including a private lake, weir and boathouse. He was not in the house at the time.
Police officers were with the four men within one minute of them entering the grounds.
“They were detained at around 12.40pm on Tuesday before being escorted off the property and arrested on suspicion of aggravated trespass,” a spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said.
The men, aged 52, 43, 21 and 20, have been released on conditional police bail to allow further inquiries.
Just half anhour earlier, a 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and criminal damage after crashing his car into the entrance of Chequers, the UK PM’s official country residence. Photos show a white Volkswagen Scirocco car completely mangled after hitting the barriers at the front gates shortly after midday on Tuesday.
The driver, a 44-year-old man, suffered serious injuries and is in hospital. He has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and drink-driving.
